Last year, Formula One made an impressive debut in India with its inaugural race at the Buddh International Circuit. This year, it returns with a bigger bang and cheaper tickets in a bid to woo F1 watchers. And with the race to the Formula One Championship still on, sports enthusiasts are gearing up for the big race this weekend.
With a lot of F1 enthusiasts flooding the Capital from other cities to catch the action live, demand for bookings have increased by upto 10%, and travel operators such as Cox & Kings have come up with special F1 packages that include hotel accommodation, flights, airport transfers and transport to and from the hotel and the race venue. The official booking agent for the Indian Grand Prix, Book My Show, is offering tickets for the entire racing weekend.
Ticket prices start at Rs. 3,000 and go up to Rs. 21,000, depending on which stand you choose. “However, one needs to know what facilities are available and also pick the perfect spot. Else, it will just be a blink-and-miss experience,” says Vijay Karnik, a Formula One enthusiast.
