Ahead of the Indian Olympic Association elections on November 25, sportsperson-turned-administrator, Randhir Singh, said his aim would be to rebuild the image of Indian sports.
"At this juncture, it's extremely important to rebuild the image of Indian sports. And, for that to
happen, the IOA should be healthy. If the parent body is untidy, it sends a wrong message to state units and national sports federations," said Randhir.
The IOA secretary-general abstained from naming any individual or group for "sullying" the image of sports in the country, but said it was due to the alleged corruption cases in the hosting of the Commonwealth Games.
Meanwhile, Abhey Singh Chautala on Thursday received more support in his fight for the post of IOA president with three more national federations backing him.
