Janko Tipsarevic can finally heave a sigh of relief. After four unsuccessful attempts, which includes the runners-up trophy last year, the Serbian managed to triumph at the Chennai Open on Sunday.

The 24-year-old Spaniard, who was playing his first Tour final, made Tipsarevic sweat before the experienced Serb fought back with all his might to win 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 in a little under two hours at the SDAT stadium.

Fired up after defeating top seed Tomas Berdych in the quarters, Agut was ready for anything. The world No. 80 began confidently. In fact, he needed just 36 minutes to pocket the first set. However, Tipsarevic's experience proved too much for the youngster.
