At only 26, Karan Rastogi is ready to begin his second career. The Mumbai lad, who quit tennis earlier this year, has snapped up coaching term with the Hong Kong Tennis Association.
Rastogi decided to end his professional career in July owing to a nerve deformation in the left leg but has
stayed in touch with the game by giving private coaching lessons in Mumbai.
"They are investing a lot into their development programme, and I will mainly be working with the youngsters," Rastogi, who will leave for Hong Kong on October 28, said. "They have brought on board a group of five-six coaches. They mainly wanted me to come because I can still get on court and play with the guys."
One of the fittest Indian players when he did play professionally, Rastogi was essentially moulded at the Nick Bollettieri academy.
