The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has served a notice on former coach Meyrick Pringle, seeking an apology for his allegations against the association.
The RCA has also threatened the former South Africa pacer with a fine of Rs.2 lakh if he fails to give a satisfactory response.
Pringle, who was coach of the senior team in the 2012-13 season, has been asked to respond in 15 days.
Pringle alleged the RCA had not cleared dues worth around Rs.14 lakh.
He had also claimed that it had meted out unprofessional treatment. These issues were highlighted in an HT report on March 20.
After the RCA refused to respond to his emails, the former South Africa fast bowler wrote another email (a copy of which is with HT) to the president CP Joshi, secretary KK Sharma and treasurer Mahendra Sharma on March 26 listing his grievances.
Sharma responded to Pringle’s email by serving him a notice on March 31. He said the dues claimed by Pringle were above his entitlement.
“We have cleared his dues. If he asks for amounts above that, we cannot help it,” Sharma told HT. “We have not got a response to our notice yet.”
