Anand beats Italy's Caruana

World champion Viswanathan Anand crashed through the defenses of Fabiano Caruana of Italy to jump to joint second spot after the third round of the premier section of Tata Steel Chess tournament here on Tuesday.  P Harikrishna drew with world No 3 Levon Aronian of Armenia, while Russian Sergey Karjakin surged ahead of the field.

Young Delhi win
New Delhi: Akash Gupta’s 71* helped Young Delhi beat Bank of Baroda by 5 wickets in DDCA League. In other matches, Shiv Kumar Banjara’s 115 helped York beat Century Club while Univer-sal beat Rajdhani by 7 wickets.
