Dipika enters second round of World open

Dipika Pallikal has entered the second round of the $188,000  Women's World Open Squash Championship with a 13-11 11-9 11-9  win over Malaysian qualifier Delia Arnold in Grand Cayman Island in the Caribbean.

Delhi on top in Vijay Merchant trophy
Captain Himmat Singh's 59, Siddhant Sharma's 4/36 and three wickets each by Aman Ahlawat and Shubham Dahiya helped Delhi move into a strong position against Himachal Pradesh in under-16 cricket for the Vijay Merchant Trophy.

Ex-judge to probe Bagan-EB tie
Kolkata: The All India Football Federation appointed retired Justice AK Ganguly to probe events leading to the December 9 I-League match between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal being abandoned. Represen-tatives of both Mohun Bagan and AIFF will be heard by the former Supreme Court judge on December 24 when Ganguly starts work in New Delhi.
