Fifteen-year-old Ashleigh Barty earned a spot in the Australian Open main draw with a straight sets win over second-seeded Olivia Rogowska in Sunday's final of a tournament for local players which awards a wild card berth.
The Wimbledon junior champion beat the Russian 7-6 (6), 6-2 to finish the tournament without dropping a set. She opened with a win over top-seeded Casey Dellacqua.
Barty said "I was just hoping to win a set. I'm pleased with what I've done, I played some really good tennis."
