Three bidders have sent their proposals to All India Football Federation for the telecast rights of the I-League and a final decision is expected in the next few days. "We have received proposals for invitations of telecast rights but a decision will be taken after review by the (AIFF) finance committee and the rights holder," said AIFF general secy. Kushal Das.
It is learnt two Kolkata channels — Kolkata TV and Channel 10 — have made a joint proposal while 24 Ghanta and another one from the same city have also sent their bids for the telecast rights of the 2010-2011 I-League season.
Asked about the scrapping of the deal with Zee Sports and the compensation that was asked by the channel from the AIFF, Das said, "We are trying to complete everything by the end of this week."
