It was always going to be an anxious finish for the Indian Arrows in their debut I-League season which will culminate on Sunday with a meeting with Kolkata powerhouse Mohun Bagan who look set to finish in the same place they did last season.
Arrows, currently tenth with 26 points, are not entirely out of the relegation zone. Both Air India (AI) and JCT have 24 points and a win for both would allow them to leapfrog the Delhi-side if they are to lose tomorrow.
"A draw should be sufficient as it’s hard to imagine AI beating Dempo. JCT might have a chance against Salgaocar so we can’t take anything for granted. It would be great to finish with a win though," said the Englishman who will miss Manandeep Singh up front.
Bagan currently lie fifth with 34 points.

In pole vault, Kundan (Haryana) raised the bar to 4.41 metres. Shanti Kumari of Punjab also set a new mark in the girls’ 5,000m walk.
