Record signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 14th league goal of the season as champions Barcelona went back to the top of the Spanish league with a 2-0 home victory over Osasuna on Wednesday.

The Swede struck on 72 minutes to break Osasuna's resilience and substitute Bojan Krkic netted a second two minutes from time as Barca moved three points ahead of Real Madrid. The win maintained Barca's momentum for 'El Clasico' at Real Madrid on the weekend of April 10/11.

Meanwhile, Valencia striker David Villa spent the night in hospital after receiving a blow to the head in a 1-0 win over Malaga and will be out of action for three to four days.

The Spain international scored the only goal, his 18th in La Liga this season, at the Mestalla. After the match, he suffered dizziness and vomiting and was taken to hospital.

Villa will miss Valencia's trip to Real Zaragoza on Saturday and could be a doubt for the Europa League quarterfinal first leg at home to Atletico Madrid next Thursday.
