The Indo-Bahamas pair squandered a one-set lead to go down 2-6

Second seed Mahesh Bhupathi of India and Mark Knowles of Bahamas were upset by the unseeded American duo of Scott Lipsky and David Martin in the quarterfinals of the $436,000 SAP Open tennis tournament here.

The Indo-Bahamas pair squandered a one-set lead to go down 2-6, 7-6 (5), 10-8 in a thrilling encounter on Friday night.

Lipsky and Martin will now face Thai brothers Sanchai and Sonchat Ratiwatana in the semi-finals. The unseeded Thai brothers also registered an upset win over fourth seed American-Australian pair of Eric Butorac and Todd Perry 7-6 (9), 7-5 in the last eight round.
