The four-storey building in Gangtok where Bhaichung Bhutia’s club, United Sikkim FC, had its office collapsed around 8.30pm on Friday evening. The building, Bhutia said, was owned by his mentor Karma Bhutia and is in Balwa Khani in north Gangtok. There have been no reports of casualties yet, Bhutia said.

“Karma uncle was cooking when he saw that the bigger building attached to this was tilting. He rushed out with his daughter and maid,” Bhutia told HT over phone while returning from Aamby Valley where he had gone for a programme organised by his sponsors. Bhutia will reach Gangtok on Saturday.
