Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu signed a three-year contract extension with the Premier League club on Thursday.
Romeu, who joined the Blues from Barcelona in 2011, is now tied to Stamford Bridge until 2017.
The former Spain Under-21 international spent last season on loan at Valencia, but remains in Blues boss Jose Mourinho's plans and played in Wednesday's 5-0 friendly win over Wycombe.
That was Romeu's first appearance for Chelsea since he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury at Sunderland in December 2012.
"Oriol Romeu has today signed a new three-year contract, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2017," a statement on Chelsea's website confirmed.
