Paes headed for Roland Garros at 6560 points and after his ninth Grand Slam title his aggregate rose to 8260.
Paes' estranged partner, who could only reach the pre-quarterfinals at the French Open partnering with Bahamaian Mark Knowles, gained one place to move up to ninth with 5560 points.
In the WTA rankings, Sania Mirza slipped three places to 98th in singles while moving up four spots to 39th in doubles.
Sania had lost in the first round of singles event in French Open and reached the second round of doubles while partnering with Chia-Jung Chuang of China.
