Bundesliga players' footballer of the year Edin Dzeko of Bosnia said in Sarajevo on Wednesday he was in negotiations to stay with VfL Wolfsburg for another year.
"Talks on a new contract with Wolfsburg are currently underway. If I get what I have asked for I will most likely stay there for another year," Dzeko, currently in his hometown of Sarajevo, told national radio.
The final decision is to be made within the next ten days, said the 23-year-old attacking midfielder.
Dzeko has another two years on his contract with Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg and has recently been the focus of interest from clubs elsewhere in Europe including AC Milan, Arsenal and Chelsea.
The second top goalscorer in the Bundesliga with 26 goals was voted to the title of Germany's footballer of the year by his fellow players in the league.
