FIFA gives green signal for four artificial turf pitches

The FIFA has given green signal to lay artificial turf pitches at four centers in the country under its 'Win in India in India' programme.

The FIFA has given green signal to lay artificial turf pitches at four centers in the country under its 'Win in India in India' programme.

Shillong and Imphal will be the two centres in the north-east, while the other two artificial pitches will be laid in Bangalore and Mumbai.

The world football governing body has assigned the projects to two companies -- Limonta Sports and Greenfields BV.

Limonta Sports has got the projects in Shillong and Imphal, while Greenfields BV will do the job in Bangalore and Mumbai, an All India Football Federation release said.
