Former British tennis star Tim Henman has backed Wimbledon champion Andy Murray to bounce back from injury and retain his Wimbledon title next year.
Murray’s season looks to be over after he announced that he would undergo back surgery in the coming days on a long-standing problem.
Although the surgery may undermine Murray’s form and confidence, Henman however, said that he believes that the Scot will win again at Wimbledon next year, adding that if a player wins at the tournament once, he can win it again.
The former British number one also said that it is a phenomenal achievement to win the Wimbledon title, adding that he is confident that Murray will go on to win more Grand Slams in his career.
However, Henman said that Murray will have to work hard to return back to playing in a good form, although he added that Murray’s long-standing back problem must be bothering him very much now to make him undergo the surgery.
But Henman further said that if Murray is patient, he could be back to his best after the surgery.
