India-Indonesia Davis Cup tie under lights

In a first of its kind, the Asia-Oceania Davis Cup tie between India and Indonesia will be played under lights from April 5-7 at the KSLTA Tennis Stadium in Bangalore.

According to Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA) secretary CS Sunder Raju, the decision to hold the matches in the afternoon was to ensure larger public participation during the event.

"We have taken special permission from the International Tennis Federation to stage the matches late in the day, so as to provide the citizens of Bangalore a chance to come and watch all the ties leisurely.

Paes, Llodra ease into 2nd round
Miami: India's Leander Paes and French partner Michael Llodra advanced to the second round of the ATP Miami Masters here on Thursday with a straight-set victory over Germany's Christopher Kas and Philipp Kohlschreiber.

The seventh seeds beat the German pair 6-3, 7-5 Thursday night and will now face the winners of the match between Grigor Dimitrov-Frederik Nielsen and Christian Harrison-Ryan Harrison.
