The knives-out moment between Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi might come earlier than expected.

Before the warring Indian duo heads for the London Olympics, there's this small matter of putting their best foot forward at the Wimbledon Championships.

And the draw on Saturday saw Paes and Bhupathi, with their respective partners, slotted in the same half of the draw.

Seeded fourth, Paes and Radek Stepanek, who won the Australian Open earlier this year, will open their campaign against the Colombian pair of Alejandro Falla and Santiago Giraldo.

Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna, seeded seventh, will face Marcel Felder of Uruguay and Malek Jaziri of Tunisia in the first round.

Paes-Stepanek and Bhupathi-Bopanna could come face to face as early as the quarterfinal.

In women's doubles, Sania Mirza will team up with Bethanie Mattek-Sands.

They take on Russia's Alla Kudryavtseva and Sloane Stephens of the USA in the first round.
