Promoted outfit Lajong F.C. of Shillong are determined to put it across Mahindra United in their 10th round I-League match on Friday.
“We want to win so that we can make it a memorable debut (in Mumbai)," said coach Stanley Rossario after the team’s practice at the Cooperage ground on Wednesday evening.
“The players are enjoying their stay in Mumbai. The team spirit is very high. The players are fully charged up for the match.”
Although Lajong did well in the Federation Cup by reaching the final where they lost to East Bengal, Rossario said I-League was a different ball game.
“The first one is a knockout tournament and you have to plan differently, while I-League is a marathon competition and is played on a home-and-away basis, so it’s a bit difficult,” he said.
