Federation cup champions Mohun Bagan and local outfit Mumbai FC have been on a roll, and both are determined to maintain their fine run when the second round of the I-League resumes on Friday.

The Kolkata outfit, who suffered a shock 1-2 defeat against the Mumbai club in their own backyard in the opening round of this competition in September, would like to set the record right when the two clubs clash in a 12th round contest at the Cooperage ground here.

Although Mohun Bagan had a disastrous start to the League, they managed to bounce back strongly by winning the last six matches on the trot and move to the second position with 21 points. The Federation Cup triumph at home last month emphasised their hunger for success and Mumbai FC will have to conjure up another determined performance to prove that the win was not a flash in the pan.

Mumbai FC had a fine run in the last few matches losing just twice against five wins to occupy the fourth place with 19 points. Following an overwhelming 3-0 win against Mohammedan Sporting in a rescheduled 11th round match on Tuesday, the team is high on confidence.

Mumbai FC have a great record on this ground this season. They have not lost a match in this competition or the local league.

In another crucial match, defending champions Dempo take on JCT in Ludhiana.
