British journalist and television show host Piers Morgan is at it again. A week after his Twitter showdown with cricketer Virender Sehwag over a tweet criticising India’s performance at the Rio Olympics, Morgan has thrown up a Rs1-million challenge to the former opening batsmen.

Morgan had on August 24 tweeted to call India’s celebration of two Olympic medals exaggerated. “Country with 1.2 billion people wildly celebrates 2 losing medals. How embarrassing is that?”

He was immediately trolled by several angry Indians, among them author Chetan Bhagat, and Sehwag.

Sehwag, in a witty response, had asked Morgan if it was embarrassing for England – the country that invented the sport of cricket – to participate in the World Cup without having won it even once. “We cherish every small happiness’, But Eng who invented Cricket,&yet2win a WC,still continue to playWC.Embarrassing?”

Now, two days after England scored 444/3, the highest-ever ODI score, against Pakistan, Morgan returned to the banter with a challenge for Sehwag. “Hi @virendersehwag, I bet you 1 million rupees to charity that England wins a ODI World Cup before India wins an Olympic Gold. Accept?” he tweeted.

While he was trolled again by twitterati, Sehwag is yet to respond. But those well versed with the ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’, can expect a swashbuckling reply.
