Pailan Arrows managed to pull off a 0-0 draw at home to Salgaocar SC in the 18th round of I-League football played at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Thursday.

The draw leaves Salgaocar with 30 points from 18 encounters while Pailan Arrows stay at eight points from 16 outings.

Churchill Brothers secured full points from their match against Air India and placed themselves in a perfect position to threaten fellow Goan rivals Dempo in the race to the top. Captain Roberto ‘Beto’ Silva scored on second rebound following a free-kick in the 30th minute and that was enough for a 1-0 win.

Churchill now have 33 points, one point behind East Bengal and seven off leaders Dempo.
