Prakash Amritraj made an early exit from the ATP Challenger event in Israel after suffering a straight-set defeat against Nick Lindahl in the opening round.

The US based Indian lost 3-6 1-6 to his Australian opponent in the first round of the USD 1,00,000 hard court event, on Tuesday.

Lindahl will now face world number 58 and local favourite top seed Dudi Sela in the next round.

Amritraj will look to do better in the doubles event, where he has been seeded second along with Isarel's Harel Levy.

They are up against local pair of Dudi Sela and Saar Steele in the first round.
