Highlight Story

Heavy rain halted Sunday's Rome International women's final between French Open champion Li Na and second seed Maria Sharapova with the match delicately poised at 6-4, 4-6, 6-6.

The men's final between world number one Novak Djokovic, the defending champion, and world number three Rafael Nadal was originally programmed for 1400GMT but will now start later than planned.

With the courts covered, the outlook for finishing the knife-edge women's contest was uncertain while starting the men's final remained open to question.

Yuki wins first challenger title

A resurgent Yuki Bhambri won the first ever ATP Challenger singles title of his career after scoring a facile straight-set win over Israeli fourth seed Amir Weintraub in Fergana, Uzbekistan today.

The unseeded Indian, ranked 297, recorded a 6-3 6-3 win in one hour and 20 minutes over the world number 185 in the summit clash of the USD 35,000 hard court event. Today's victory is expected to push Yuki to top-220 in the ATP rankings.
