Unseeded Divij Sharan made the semifinals of the NCC $10000 ITF Men's Futures meet at the DLTA on Thursday.
Sharan overcame the challenge of compatriot Karunuday Singh 6-7(2), 6-4, 6-2 in a tough quarterfinal clash which lasted over two-and-half hours. He will now play eighth-seeded Vijayant Malik.
Malik, too, faced a tough test on Thursday as he beat fourth-seeded VM Ranjeet 6-0, 2-6, 6-1.
However, it was the end of the road for Rohan Gajjar, the third seed. He was ousted by Swede Patrik Rosenholm 3-6, 3-6.
Lucas Renard's journey too came to a halt. The Swede, who scalped the top seed in the first round, was shown the door by Russian Vitali Reshetnikov 4-6, 0-6.
