Shehzad, Umar Akmal ignored for skills camp

sports Updated: May 26, 2016 07:17 IST

LAHORE: Pakistan’s national selectors ignored experienced batsmen Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal while announcing a shortlist of 21 players for a skills camp prior to the tour of England this summer. Senior batsman Mohammad Hafeez was included in the list but chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq said that his final selection would be subject to fitness clearance. “We want Hafeez in the touring Test squad as he is an experienced campaigner but his final selection is subject to fitness,” he said.
