West Indies beat England by four wickets at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens on Sunday to lift their second World T20 title.
Needing 19 runs off the last over, it appeared as if England held the upper hand, but Carlos Brathwaite hit four consecutive sixes off Ben Stokes to seal the win for the Windies.
Needless to say, Twitter was quick to comment on the youngster’s brilliant finish to the game.

Well done Carlos Brathwaite. You are two-thirds of your way into becoming a Yuvi, and 2 balls away from becoming a Dhoni.
That impossible sporting dream you have as a kid - Carlos Brathwaite just lived it. Unreal.— Tony Barrett (@TonyBarretTimes) April 3, 2016

Carlos Brathwaite take a bow. Hitting it like that at the death of a World Cup final is unbelievable stuff #WT20Final— Ed Malyon (@eaamalyon) April 3, 2016
He seriously smashed four sixes in a row to win— James Tyler (@JamesTylerESPN) April 3, 2016
Well if you're going to win a World Cup four successive sixes is certainly a dramatic way of going about it.— Phil McNulty (@philmcnulty) April 3, 2016
6-6-6-6 is brilliant. 6-6-6-6 in a World Cup Final is exceptional. 6-6-6-6 IN THE LAST OVER OF A WORLD CUP FINAL IS OUT OF THIS WORLD.— Trendulkar (@Trendulkar) April 3, 2016

There was some sympathy, as well as some criticism, for Brathwaite’s victim, Stokes, who was consoled by captain Eoin Morgan after the loss.
Gutted for Stokes. Poor guy's crying. It's OK young lad. Your time will come. You just encountered a beast. #WT20— Srini Mama (@SriniMama16) April 3, 2016
Sympathies must go out to Ben Stokes. Bowling that last over in a World T20 Final is like taking all six penalties in a WC final shootout.— Matt Scott (@Matt5cott) April 3, 2016
Ben Chokes, more like.— Mark Leech (@Len_Scap) April 3, 2016
