Women's team wins Saff Cup

The India women's football team defeated Nepal 3-1 today in Colombo to retain the SAFF Cup. Nepal took the lead through Dipa Adhikari but goals from Supriya Rout Ray, Bem Bem Devi and Kamala Devi gave India their second straight crown.

The India women's football team defeated Nepal 3-1 on Sunday in Colombo to retain the SAFF Cup. Nepal took the lead through Dipa Adhikari but goals from Supriya Rout Ray, Bem Bem Devi and Kamala Devi gave India their second straight crown.

India had won the first edition in Bangladesh two years ago. The SAFF Executive Committee also decided on Sunday that the next edition of the men's SAFF Cup would be held in Nepal in 2013. India hosted and won the last edition in 2011.
