With hits like Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Chennai Express under her belt, this has been a great-but-busy year for Deepika Padukone. Even after her latest release, she had no respite as the shooting of Farah Khan’s Happy New Year commenced in Dubai.
She is also starting work on Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny Fernandes, in which she stars opposite Arjun Kapoor. A source close to Deepika reveals that since the film is being shot in Goa, the actor squeezed some time out to head there a few days prior to the shoot. “She will take a two-day break to unwind and just put her feet up. She has been juggling multiple promotion schedules, film shoots and brand commitments all at the same time,” says the source.
Arjun is slated to join Deepika in Goa a night before or on the day of the shoot, as he is currently shooting in Kolkata for another film, Gunday. Deepika is expected to leave for the beach destination this Saturday, two days before the schedule kicks off. Even then, it seems unlikely that she will get an all-out vacation.
The actor’s spokesperson reveals, “She has narrations and costume trials lined up, but essentially, these two days will be lighter. She’s looking forward to spending some time by herself and catching up with Homi as well.” They last did Cocktail (2012) together.
