Even as finance minister Arun Jaitley presents his first Union Budget in the Lok Sabha, Twitter is abuzz with expectations and reactions to his speech.
Bollywood director-producer Kunal Kohli is one of the most active celeb face writing on the issue. Moments before Jaitley's speech began, he wrote, "like i said,we gave 10 yrs to #cong.Dont judge #modi on #Budget2014 no magic wand,good things take time let's be patient & realistic."
He also tweeted, "#budget2014 #jaitley speaking fast so as to not give opposition time to shout.Any gap they start screaming w/out hearing the point." (sic)
"100 cr to train sportsmen for commonwealth & other games. No Mr.Kalmadi that does not mean or include you," Kohli added.
National award-winning filmmaker Hansal Mehta wrote, "FM has quietly justified the gas price hike. Additional 15,000 km of gas pipelines proposed. How do you fund them?...So many allocations for infrastructure. Hope we see that infrastructure in this lifetime. #Budget2014."
"BJP must get out of election mode now. The budget still sounds like a manifesto. #Budget2014," the Shahid director tweeted.
Comedian Sorabh Pant also wrote on Twitter, "We must address the problem of black money fully", said Jaitley. And, we'll do that by addressing the issue vaguely. #Budget2014."
And for some tweets in a lighter vein, Poonam Pandey wrote, "I Expect that this #Budget2014 Makeup Brushes, Eyelashes, Curler, Eye shadow, Lipstick, Mascara, Perfumes, Lingerie..Prices Shud Go down"
