He may just be two films old, but anchor-turned-actor Ayushmann Khurrana is surely making his place in Bollywood. But the actor is also paying a price for it. The 28-year-old, who became a father to a baby boy last year, says that he only gets to meet his son once in two months.
“Due to my busy schedule, I get to meet my son who stays with my family in Chandigarh, only once in two months. I’m lucky that my family and in-laws understand that I need to work as much as I can at this point in my career. I’m still in my 20s and need to slog hard. I was somehow prepared that I’d get to spend less time with my kid.”
He adds, “I know that my son will realise that whatever I do I do for him. Even army kids get to spend less time with their parents but at the end of the day, they are proud of their parents and I wish my kid too will be proud of me.”
Khurrana, who recently attended the International Indian Film Academy Awards at Macau, says he’s very excited that his brother Aparshakti Khurrana is also making his acting debut with Neeraj Pande’s film, Saat Uchake. “I’m very happy for him. Once in a while, he asks me for tips.”
Khurrana also says he’s open to working in Vicky Donor 2 provided the script is good. “It all depends on the script, if the script is quirky, I would love to work in it,” he says.
