English television personality and food writer Nigella Lawson and author Salman Rushdie were spotted enjoying a night out at a restaurant in Central London on Sunday. The pair was spotted at Fischer’s restaurant in Marylebone, reported Daily Online.

The duo, who have been friends for over 20 years, are believed to have spent around two hours in the upmarket establishment.

A diner at the restaurant was quoted in the report saying, "The pair was laughing happily throughout the meal and seemed so content with one another."

The report added that while Salman didn’t seem to mind being spotted out with Nigella as they left, she appeared much keener to hide herself.

The pair have been close for over two decades, with Salman having supported Nigella during her traumatic spilt from Charles Saatchi, 70, in 2013.

"Nigella and Salman have never been closer. They’re real soulmates," a friend was quoted.
