Mika Singh loves animals more than cars. The Punjabi pop singer recently bought two camels — Shambhu and Shankar — from Rajasthan. “When people get rich they buy expensive cars, but I have bought camels because I have a different passion,” he says.
Besides this, he also owns 12 dogs and a few horses. And he houses them all at his Delhi farm. “Roxy and Jugni, my dogs, are very popular on Facebook,” he says.
And, the 34-year-old has his own Bebo too — a newborn foal born to his horse Sundri. Mika clarifies though, that it has nothing to do with actor Kareena Kapoor’s nickname. “No .. (I chose the name ‘Bebo’) just because I like it.”
The controversy king, whose latest track is the hit Pyaar ki Pungi from Agent Vinod, will be performing in Delhi on Saturday at Shivaji Ground, Rajouri Garden. “I love performing in Delhi, my home of 13 years. I love everything about the city.” He often hangs out at Kake Da Hotel in Connaught Place and visits Bangla Sahib in the night. And, of course, “Delhi girls are number one,” he says.
So how about getting hitched to one of them?
“I am looking for the right girl ... the moment I get her, I will marry soon. She should be a Punjabi, a good cook and a modern girl with traditional values.” Mika is also pleased that Amitabh Bachchan praised him for the song he dedicated to the actor. “It was so nice to know that he mentioned me on his blog!”
