A lot of sites have a lot of quirky products to offer and thecheeky.com too, is one of them but this time it may just have gone too far.

The website has introduced piggy banks, but the catch is that these piggy banks are made from real piglets which are 'taxidermied' (stuffed). If it's any consolation, the site's "taxidermied bank is made only from piglets that have died of natural causes."

Needless to say there has been a furore over the product with social organisations protesting against it. The Winnipeg Humane Society called it a "demeaning exploitation of a baby animal's dead body. It trivializes the life (and death) of a sentient being," reported CNN.

Piggie BankSite creator Colin Hart, however seemed surprised at the outrage. He told The Toronto Star that he created thecheeky.com for his more outrageous ideas. "Most people understand it's a bit of a joke," he told the newspaper. "We're not harming any animals. We're not even considering it. It's quite ridiculous what's happening."

The site claims the piggy bank is 'designed for anyone who has far too much money and loose change, this is the piggy bank of all piggy banks. It's a real piglet that has been taxidermied and inserted with what all piglets probably dream of as babies, a coin storage unit and a cork plug. Make your plush overpriced apartment complete with this little guy.' The site's other products include suitcase stickers that look like the suitcase contains cocaine among other stuff, stencilled hickeys and other outrageous stuff.

And guess what, the pigs come at a price! These pigs cost $4000 and the orders need to be placed at least one year in advance with half the amount and rest of it is paid after receiving the 'bank'. Well, seems you'll need a piggy bank to collect the money to be able to buy this piggy bank!
