The prim and proper A-grade student of
Harry Potter movies, Emma Watson showed a wilder side of herself in a recent photoshoot.
The 19-year-old star donned smudged
eye make-up and smeared lipstick as she wore a collection of quirky couture in an eight page spread for the new issue of America's
Vs magazine,
Daily Mail online reported.
The high fashion shoot features a very retro vibe with Watson dressed in 1920s clothes and was shot by celebrated photographer Ellen Von Unwerth. Some of the photos feature Watson smearing the lipstick on her face appearing like a young girl raiding her mother's make-up collection.
Like her Harry Potter character Hermione, Watson has a wavy hairstyle as she holds up a mirror dressed in an unusual fanned silk top and golden hotpants in another shot. While the actress also went all natural in one particularly innocent shot, which sees her looking a kid as she lies barefaced on a sofa holding a porcelain doll.
Watson's appearance in edgy high-fashion V magazine sees her following in the footsteps of Hollywood stars including Drew Barrymore and Milla Jovovich.
Watson is currently splitting her time between filming the final Potter films Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows parts I and II and studying for a degree at Brown University in Rhode Island.
