Now this is a tricky one — the Lava B5 Alpha can be the simplest of phones, while actually it is not. We tell you why.

That’s good: Before anything else, it surely has a good finishing, much better than many of its peers. Dual SIM, MP3-4, decent camera and sound, and an extendable memory upto 8GB — all’s fine till we reach the ABCD keyboard. While it’s good that someone has come up with this, those used to QWERTY will surely struggle at the start.

Not so cool: Bad ringtones and other sounds. The radio is also not functional without the earphones plugged in.

Go for it? At 4,399, yes, if you haven’t used Qwerty before.
