Highlight Story

Captain America: The First Avenger

movie is breaking new records at the box office worldwide and is releasing very soon in India (12th August), an app for the same with Captain America's adventures could not have been very far. The iOS game developed by Marvel Entertainment called

Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty

is as close as you can get to be Captain America himself.

The game is based on the time of WWII and has the evil Red Skull leading HYDRA soldiers to build super weapons. That's when you step into your Captain America superhero uniform and thwart Red Skull's plans.

The gameplay is very unique as there is no D-pad provided and only swipes are required to move Captain around. Say, for example, if you want the Captain to jump forward then just swipe your finger upwards and if you want him to slide through obstacles on the way then just swipe downwards. The gameplay is very easy to comprehend, much unlike the games published by EA Sports.

A shield graphic in the bottom left-hand corner can be tapped to provoke the Captain into throwing his shield towards the bad guys to stun them for a few seconds. This proves to be very useful when, at the same time, you can finish them with your deadly combo moves by swiping horizontally.

The game comprises of 24 levels with a host of multiple pathways and hidden areas, unfold over three massive episodes. Loads of achievements to unlock, such as new costumes for the Captain. The graphics are very impressive and the touch panel works with immediate response.

The gameplay can be repetitive at times but, overall, it's very addictive with awesome graphics and fast paced action. Hopefully, the movie also keeps up with the hype in India.
