Football Manager 2014

"Football Manager 2014" will launch on Windows, Mac and Linux on October 31, with cloud saves across all three systems as well as PlayStation Vita.

Pre-ordering a copy ahead of time nets access to a beta version of the game to be made available halfway through the month, more or less a fortnight prior to launch.

The soccer series is consistently popular according to the Steam Network's player counts, with between 40,000 and 60,000 players daily, peaking over the New Year period and only tailing off significantly as a new installment arrives.

On mobile, it's to face a revived rivalry from "Championship Manager" in the form of "Champ Man"; smartphone and tablet toters can also opt to take one player to the top via the likes of "New Star Soccer and "I Am Playr" while the "Real Football," "Flick Kick" and "FIFA" apps offer a more action-oriented approach.
