Decide first:

This is the most vital part before going for a music system — decide your passion for music. If you are one of those who want music to be in the background, a one-piece system, within 400w-600w is best for you. But if music is what you want to breath, eat and sleep, go for an assembled system with separate woofer and boxes.

Play it loud:

Always check the system by manipulating the bass and treble. Not all system amplify the sound similarly. Here too, your choice will depend upon the kind of music you prefer.

Wooden touch:

Music is natures gift, even if you play electronica. Go for wooden boxes to get the best sound output.

Match up:

While assembling, balance the output from the boxes. A stronger woofer with below boxes will give out a bad sound.

Keep in mind:

However strong the boxes are, the source is of prime importance. So, go for good MP3/DVD player.
