Less ache, more play

tech reviews Updated: May 04, 2010 18:38 IST

Remember the way your hand starts aching after a few hours of play from gripping the gameboard? Well, say hello to the G13, a new gameboard from Logitech with a contoured design that is meant to complement the shape of your hand and fingers.

Designed with smooth, concave home-row keys, the G13 comes with three game modes, 25 programmable keys and a programmable analogue stick. The G13 gameboard offers up to 87 ways for you to control your game (software installation will be required). You can set up custom button-profiles for your favourite titles and even create macros on the fly without having to pause your game.

The LCD shows live game statistics, system info and messages from other players. The keys are backlit and you can select from a range of available backlight colours. The gameboard includes onboard memory and you can programme up to five ready-to-play profiles. It also offers pre-configured settings for many popular games, including World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade, Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare among others.
