Telltale Games' enthralling interpretation of The Walking Dead is making its way to iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch with the first of five episodes from Walking Dead: The Game arriving on July 26.
Inspired by the original graphic novels, and therefore enjoying some crossover with the TV series, the game sees players assume the identity of new character Lee Everett, but they can expect to meet familiar faces along the way, such as those of Hershel and Glenn.
There's a chance that the once-respectable Everett just might be a killer, accused of offing the state senator, but nevertheless he bumps into orphan girl Clementine and the two start making their way to safety together.
Decisions made have immediate and hidden consequences, and players will need to make tough choices about who makes it to the end.
Just as with the Mac, PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of Telltale's The Walking Dead, players can then buy each of the subsequent five episodes for $4.99 a pop or $14.99 for the lot; the iTunes purchase is for a universal app that works on 4th Gen iPod touch, iPhone 4, iPad 2 & 3
