My friend wants to buy the iPhone at Rs 20,000. Can he install the iOS 4 on the previous iPhones? What is the the difference between the iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4? What are the prices in Mumbai? Can he use Reliance or Idea's card on them?
Prakash
The iPhone 4 is not yet launched for India and will be out hopefully in a couple of months. You can install iOS 4 on the 3G but won’t get its full feature set. On the 3GS it works just fine. You’ll possibly get a second-hand iPhone 3G for Rs 20,000 but the 3GS will cost more.

The 3GS has a faster processor and a higher resolution camera than the 3G and the iPhone 4 has a higher resolution display and camera and comes with quite a few other handy features in a brand new design.

Can you please tell me the release date of Nokia C6 and Nokia X6 and X6 8GB in India? Also, please mention the prices and specifications of the handsets. Which handset is better? My budget is Rs 13,000 to Rs 14,000.
Gaurav
The Nokia X6 has already launched in India but there’s no word on the C6 just yet although it has been announced. The X6 is a good choice but I'd recommend waiting a bit for the C6. However, it might be just a little above your budget.

I have a Micromax x225 mobile and a Vodafone connection. I want to access the Internet on my phone. Is my handset Web compatible? How do I go about setting up a net connection?
Praveen
It’s a WAP equipped handset so you can connect to the Internet. For the settings you’ll have to contact your service provider and also choose an Internet plan that suits your needs.
