Who says that social networking sites brings the world down to one small box? Twitter has opened up new ways for people or rather Tweeple (the twitter version of people) to connect. There are frequent tweet-ups, where people who are acquainted to each other on Twitter, meet up and bond over their passion for board games.

“My friends usually laugh at my idea of playing Taboo or Scrabble. But I found many people on Twitter who were game. We all met one week and after that, have continued to do so since 6 months now,” saysHenna Acchpal, a BMM student from National College.

These fun ‘n’ games meets happen all over Mumbai. “We’ve played UNO, Monopoly, Chinese checkers, Pictionary and are still introducing a new game at every tweet-up. The turn out has been fabulous and I look forward to making friends with at least five new people every time,” says Karishma Rajani, a Mumbai-based content writer.
