An analyst tracking Apple’s supply chain has made a prediction that the next generation of iPhones will introduce the 32 GB storage in the base variant. Apple is currently selling the iPhone devices with storage space of 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.
Apple iPhone loyalists have been waiting for the base model to be bumped up to 32 GB of storage for quite some time now, but the company has stuck to marketing the 16GB model as its base variant.
However, this time, Apple might like to think about taking their fans’ opinions into consideration after it saw a fall in sales for the first time. And thus, besides the storage bump, the phone is expected to get a bigger RAM -- 3 GB, but the IHS Analyst expects Apple to stick to the iPhone 6s’ 2 GB RAM.
Apple is also expected to add a Pro version of iPhones with 256 GB of storage, dual cameras and a missing 3.5 mm audio jack for the next generation expected to be called iPhone 7.
The iPhone 7, 7 Plus and 7 Pro are expected to retail at starting at $649 (approximately Rs 43,645) in the US. In India, the company is most likely going to launch the phones at excruciatingly high price before slashing it in time for Christmas. Or that’s at least what they are used to.
