The Fēnix(R) 3 is a smart Swiss smartwatch that can track you sporting for up to 50 hours

Less than five years ago, watches Swiss watches were the most sought after and admired. And now, watches made in China have become the apple of every Apple fanboy’s eye. The Apple claims that their smartwatch is the best selling one, and as a result traditional watchmakers are trying to add smart functionalities to their luxurious watches to keep up with the changing times.

Garmin already made activity trackers that were smart and took pride in their accuracy. Now, they’re taking a step back with the Fēnix(R) 3. A “smart multisport” watch available in rose gold derives design inspiration from luxury watches while doing justice to making smart activity trackers built for sport.

The Rs 84,999 watch makes it a sports-technology enthusiasts’ ideal companion but not your daily driver for notifications updates on the wrist. The watch takes on Casio’s upcoming smartwatch with Android Wear and promises 20 hours of usage with the GPS functionality and 50 hours otherwise. It pairs with the phone to deliver basic notifications and offers custom modes for cycling, swimming and running among other sports.
