Huawei’s Honor brand on Tuesday launched the Kirin 650-powered Honor 5C smartphone priced at Rs 10,999 and a the Honor T1 7 tablet at Rs 6,999.
The Honor 5C smartphone, which will follow the flash sale model via Flipkart, comes with Mali-T830 GPU support and a 5.20-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 424 pixels per inch. The LTE device is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 650 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
Commenting on the launch, Allen Wang of Consumer Business Group, Huawei India, said, “After the success of Honor 5X earlier this year, we are excited to introduce Honor 5c in Indian market and we are hopeful that we would continue to receive a great response from our consumers.
“Honor has always taken a lead in technology innovation and puts quality first. In the era of price wars we focus on quality over price and thrive on packaging together technology that make a product which has an edge in the market”, added Wang.
The 5C, which comes with a fingerprint sensor, runs on the company’s EMUI OS. The phone features a 13-megapixel rear cameras and a 8-megapixel front camera. In terms of design, the phone has aircraft-grade aluminum-alloy body and integrated speaker box with smart power amplifier and bottom-speaker design. The phone has a 3,000 mAh battery and 16 GB of internal storage.
On the other hand, the Honor T1 7 is a light weight tablet that comes with a 4,100 mAh battery unit. The tablet draws power from a 1.2 GHz Spreadtrum SC7731G quad-core processor and a 1GB RAM unit. It supports calling and Wifi. The internal storage on the device is 8GB which can be expanded to 32GB.
Pre-orders at the Honor store and Flipkart will start at 3:00 pm on 22nd June. The flash sale for Honor 5C will open on 30th June and again on the 7th July at 2:00 pm. Honor T1 7 tablet will be available through open sale on Flipkart from Tuesday.
