“This year belongs to the display,”Amit Gujral, chief marketing officer of LG Electronics India said during the launch of the G6 in India.
It indeed does belong to displays when it comes to smartphones. There is a sudden rush to get OLED displays that can be bended, uses less power and is better in terms of picture quality. The two biggest examples of this are the Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+ and the LG G6 -- phones that harp on display as one of its sellig proposition. Apple is also planning to introduce OLED displays on its upcoming iPhone 8.
But lets talk about Androids only and phones in point -- Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6. While the Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with Infinity display at two screen sizes -- 5.8 and 6.2-inches, the G6
comes with a 18:9 aspect ratio Fullvision display of 5.7-inches. However, the Samsung Galaxy S8 scores over the G6 in terms of processing power.
