Motorola will shortly be launch the Moto X Force smartphone in India, also known as the Droid Turbo 2 in international markets. The main USP of the device is its ‘ShatterShield’ display, which the company claims can easily absorb any impact and won’t crack for up to a period of 4 years.

Update: Moto X Force costs Rs 49,999 and the screen has 4 years of warranty

The ShatterShield mechanism uses five layers, the innermost layer is made out of aluminium chassis to reinforce shatter proof display. The top layer is an Exterior Protective Lens, which gets the company’s trademark hardcoat to absorb heavy impacts.

Apart from its ShatterShield QHD AMOLED display, the Moto X features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC bundled with 3GB of RAM and will come in 32GB/64GB storage options. Juicing up all that power would be a 3,760mAh battery. In terms of optics, the smartphone will feature a 21-megapixel camera powered by Sony’s IMX230 image sensor, along with a 5-megapixel camera on the front.

Expected to be the most expensive smartphone in the Moto line-up, the Moto X Force will shortly be launched in India. Users can watch how the ‘ShatterShield’ display mechanism works in the video below:
